Do you CUE?
When arriving at CUE 2017, it can be a little overwhelming. Especially if it is your first time. We have put together some tips and tricks that we use to maximize our time there.
1. ATTEND THE CUELA AFFILIATE MEETING! Come find your inner child in the Ed Tech playground. Grab door buster goodies, play with ed tech toys, and win raffle prizes. There will be an ed tech playground and Oh! And learn about grants, open board positions, and lots of professional development too. When you ask?

3. DIVIDE AND CONQUER!Come with a group, strategically split up so that you can all see your top sessions, and get notes from the ones you can't attend.
4. SET GOALS ANT TAKE NOTES!Make goals with your team (ie. "We want to attend every Google Classroom" session, or "We want to master project based learning." Keep collective notes toward these goals using a google doc.
5. HAVE FUN!It may sound cliche, but will get tired if you don't stop and have some fun. There are so many amazing people you will meet. So have a great time!

AV EDTech Summit - May 6th, 2017
The AV EdTech Summit will be held on Saturday, May 6th at Highland High School. The main keynote speaker will be Dr. Milton Chen. Dr. Chen wrote the book, Education Nation, was a director of research for Sesame Street, The Electric Company, and 3,2,1 Contact. He currently serves as an Executive Director for the George Lucas Education Foundation.

Design and Maker Class Colloquium | August 3rd-4th
This two-day professional development event, which is held at the Windward School in West Los Angeles, is designed for all teachers, administrators, and informal educators - the event is catered towards educators from all disciplines, levels of experience, and learning environments from informal to classroom. Participants will get hands-on training and experience with design techniques, traditional tools and materials of making from experts in the area, and hear from cutting-edge practitioners about what is possible in the world of Design and Making in both general and specific ways.
